Advice before official filings

The cheapest structure today is not always the best structure tomorrow

The right choice depends on the owners, activities, territory, expected financing, liability exposure, tax planning and how decisions will be made.

  • Choice of legal structure and jurisdiction
  • Founder roles and protection between partners
  • Sequence of legal steps and costs explained clearly
  • Questions to raise with your accountant or tax adviser

FAQ

Before you book

Will the free call tell me which structure to choose?
The free call is used to understand your general need and identify the appropriate service. Personalized legal advice is provided through a paid consultation or an accepted mandate.
Can you help if I am unsure whether to incorporate?
Yes. A consultation can compare a sole proprietorship, partnership and a Quebec or federal corporation in light of your project.
Can the work be completed remotely?
Yes. Services are offered remotely throughout Quebec, subject to a conflict check and acceptance of the mandate.
Do government filing fees form part of the consultation price?
No. The $50 price is for a 30-minute legal consultation. Any later professional fees, taxes, government fees and disbursements are identified separately in writing before a mandate proceeds.
